I first saw this episode on BBC America when they did the Breakfast With The Doctor series and showed old episodes of only Tom Baker as the Doctor. This episode was absolutely exquisite! Tom Baker is the quintessential Doctor of all the doctors. When I think of Doctor Who, he is the only actor that comes to mind! And of course, Louise Jameson as Leela was one of the best companion of the series in my opinion. It is unfortunate that she is in so few episodes with him. The writing of this episode was great as was the concept. We find the Doctor and Leela arriving on a large industrial machine that mines minerals in a desert region of another planet where the humans depend on robots for almost everything. There are only about six humans on this machine who depend on hundreds of humanoid robots to do most of the work. The appearance of the robots is very distinct and creepy, which adds to the darkness of the whole episode, especially when the humans start dying one by one. The Doctor and Leela must find out who and why these people are being killed. What they uncover will lead to the end of life as the humans know it on this planet. This is one of the best Doctor Who episodes with Tom Baker and Leela!
