My grandson loved this book! This is not the first National Geographic early reader book that I have purchased and, like with all the others, I'm not disappointed. The series is ample enough that you can find book (booklets, really) on just about any subject that intrigues the early reader you're trying to motivate. They are a great blend of education, information, and reading practice. My grandson much prefers these scientifically-oriented books to the ordinary reading material his school provides. Unfortunately, the system is set up so that he only gets "reading credits" for the books on a certain list that the school has testing materials on. So these books--while greatly contributing to his reading competency, his science knowledge, and his vocabulary--are only extra-curricular reading he gets no credit for.Still, I think that they are worth the investment. He has become a child that enjoys reading for its own sake, which is a lifetime gift.My 5 year old is obsessed with all things robot and wanted to learn about REAL robots. This book was even better than I expected and he absolutely loves learning about all the different kinds of robots and their real life uses. It is a bit much for him to read by himself at 5, but he can definitely understand it when I read it to him. I highly recommend this and all the other National Geographic readers. They're our favorite type of books! This level 3 book is great for the 3rd or 4th grader who prefers non-fiction. Tons of information and lots of great photographs. I also think my grandson at four-years-old will love this read to him.My four-year-old grandson is enamored of robots, loves this book, and carries it around with him in a binder containing his robot drawings. My grandson loved it!Nice small book for kids. My son is four years old and he loves it.This is a small-ish book but it is really great for someone in their early elementary years to learn about robots. We got this in conjunction with a robot toy but you wouldn’t have to.Great little book has kept one 8 year old occupied and helped his reading does not like reading as his level poor for his age but this book has helped develop a little more interest as he is mad about robots would recommendGrandson loved the book received for xmasI bought this for my little cousin, he's really into robots so this was a very good reading for him.Descriptions in the book are perfectly pitched at my 5-year-old son, who is obsessed with robots. Wish there were other robot books in the series!Super simple book. Would only buy it as a reading book if your child has a good knowledge of alternative spellings of sounds and a good sight vocabulary. A lovely book to share.
